Village Super Market Heroes Feeding Heroes

During this unprecedented time of the COVID-19 pandemic, Village Super Market not only wants to do our part as an essential service to the community but expand our efforts to feed those healthcare heroes on the front line.
We were already feeding our own Village Super Market heroes twice a day, but we wanted to do more for the healthcare heroes on the front line. On March 18th we began sending two meals a day to Overlook Hospital Emergency Department from a local restaurant. Over the next few days we added Morristown Medical Center, AtlantiCare Hospitals in Pomona and Atlantic City, then St. Luke's and Lehigh Valley in Stroudsburg, PA. We were up to 5,000 meals per week, and it was at this time that we decided we wanted to keep this program going and expand to more healthcare facilities across our trade area. The idea of Heroes Feeding Heroes was born.
We’re raising money at all of our Village Super Market locations and online, to expand the current efforts of Village Super Market, as we partner with local restaurants to feed local Emergency Department staff.
Many of our customers may be wishing they could do more to help during this national crisis, so we’re giving them a way to do it.
You have the opportunity to make a $1, $3, or $5 donation right here, or at our stores' check-out registers. This will go directly to local restaurants, who will deliver the food that will help nourish our doctors, nurses, and hospital workers selflessly caring for our community.
