Vince Maldonado Memorial Fund

Hello, My name is Matt Beld. I'm establishing this fund on behalf of Victoria Tafoya-Maldonado and Victor Maldonado and, for my friend Vince. Here's a few words about my friend Vin.

Vincent Trevino Maldonado lll was born on February 13, 1969 and passed away on June 22, 2021. Vince was a kind, loving Husband to his wife Victoria of 20 years. A thoughtful and helpful son to his parents, Lucy and Vincent Sr. and great brother to his younger brother, Victor. Through his marriage he was also an Uncle, "Tio Vinnie", to all of Victoria's nieces and nephews and constantly provided guidance and support for them. Vince was a diligent and very professional co-worker during his last 12 years of service at Williams Furnace and Heating in Colton and was held in very high esteem by his piers. And, last but not least, Vince was a fantastic friend.

Vin's true passion was music. He started his professional career in 1994 with Los Infernos and that led all the way up until his passing, playing his last show to a packed house just to weeks ago with his group of the last 20 years Vicky Tafoya and the Big Beat. He was able to tour the world, make recordings and spend a good part of his life pursuing his passion. His passion for playing music was only equaled by his passion for collecting it. His record collection, amassed through out his life contained many genres. Vocal groups, garage rock, instumemtals etc. but, his true love was Rhythm & Blues music. He would be up bright and early, ready for any record swap meet, garage sale or estate sale that came his way.

Vince was a song writer, a guitar player, an explorer and a visionary. A truly original thinker. That was his gift. His calm, welcoming demeanor could put anyone at ease and his wit, charm, and sense of humor were second to none. His smile is legendary. Vince's passing was sudden and this go fund me page is to off set celebration of life and medical costs that were unforeseen. Any and all contributions are welcome. Most importantly, keep Vince in your thoughts and hearts and talk about him. That's what he would want. I'll leave everyone with words from the man himself. "I might not have a long life, I don't know. But, I know I have a good life". Yes Vince, yes you do.

I will be the curator of these funds and will make sure they are given in whole to Victoria. She will be responsible for the distribution as she sees fit. Thank you all so much for your time and contributions. We love Vin.
