My name is Brandon Vincent and I am donating a kidney to a fellow veteran named Johnny Lowery. This page is to raise money for my family for the time that I will be off work due to the surgery. I am the sole provider for my wife, and 3 kids. I will be off for 2 1/2 months and the money will be used to pay for our bills, groceries, and overall cost of living.
If you have not heard our amazing story on the news or through facebook here it is.
Mr. Lowery was behind my truck on Sept 13th, 2018 on the expressway and called me when we noticed the advertising on back of my truck for my small tshirt screen print business. He needed some tshirts made advertising the fact that he was a veteran in need of a kidney. After speaking with him and finding out we had the same blood type I was all in, and decided I want to help him. We went through all of the testing and I was a match. We previously had surgery scheduled on Feb. 20 2019 but due to Mr. Lowery needing some last minute procedures it has since been put on hold. We are currently awaiting a date but hear it is coming soon. As soon as we hear a new date we will let you all know.
***JUST A FYI***
We had a fundraiser on Facebook. We never linked the bank account because we did not want to receive money just in case the surgery was cancelled for some reason . Since the surgery date changed it only allowed us to extend it to March 10th. My wife thought it was the 20th. Since we did not link our bank account in time, facebook returned ALL the donations to the donors and we did not receive any of it which is why we started this one. So if you are one of those donors PLEASE donate again. If we do not raise enough money we will not financially be able to afford for me to take off work for this surgery. That would be devastating to both families. If you want to make a personal donation you can contact me and I will send you address to mail.
