Vinkovich Family

Hello All,

When I think about a wonderful, caring family, I think about the Vinkovich family. Over my lifetime they have become my best friends, my second family really. They welcomed me into their home, and treated me like I was one of their own. This is how they treat not only me, but everyone else. They will do anything for anyone at any time.

On Sunday, September 26, their rock, dad, grandpa and husband, Steve, was admitted to the hospital because he became very ill with COVID-19. He has been in the hospital ever since, with good days and bad days, as he continues this long journey.

Typically it's the Vinkovich's that are giving help to someone else, not receiving it. They would never ask for anything, but we are going to show up for them. This has been exhausting for the entire family. They and everyone else just wants to see Steve home & healthy. Every day, each one of us sit here and wonder - why does this have to be him, why is he going through this? We understand that this is a temporary hurdle as Steve is the strongest person we know. When you think about a wonderful human being, you think of Steve Vinkovich. He needs our help. His family needs our help during this difficult time.

Along with Steve, Mikki has been off work as well. She has had long, strenuous nights with no sleep. The family is exhausted but understands God has this under control.

The prayers have created good news and we want that to continue during this long process.

Anything would help, but most importantly - please continue praying each day!

P. S. Steve- The deer are moving and Penn State is about to play OSU. We need you out here so that you can (try to) kill a deer and you can watch the Nittany Lions lose.
