❤️ Vinny Is Headed To Portland! (OHSU) ❤️‍

Hey there all you lovely peeps and friends. A quick update on the world of Virginia. For those of you who don’t know, Vinny was born with a genetic heart condition.

 

Until recently this was well managed. Unfortunately, over the past few months, her heart condition decided to rear it’s ugly head and start causing trouble. Vinny was born with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, which in layman’s terms, is a thickening of her heart muscle. Vinny has been undergoing treatment this past winter, and has exhausted all her options and resources in Alaska. In April she will be traveling to the Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland for open heart surgery to remove the excess heart muscle.

 

This is a daunting process at best. We all know that Vinny has one huge heart and a ton of courage. We are hoping, as the greater Girdwood Community and the strong Alyeska Ski Patrol family to ease some of her and Cody’s expenses while they travel and stay in Oregon during April. Your donation will also ease her transitional period after surgery as she gets back on her feet. Please spread this message like wildfire on the social networks.
