Vinny's Medical Bills & Recovery

As some of you may know, on October 29th 2022, my baby brother, Vinciente Rosales (Vinny) was severely injured. Initially, we were informed Vinciente was a victim of a “hit and run” accident. After being admitted to UVA Hospital, the doctors determined his injuries were not consistent with a hit & run but more of an assault as the trauma was mainly to the front of his face.

Though we still don't know who did this to our sweet Vinny, our main concern right now is making sure that he's safe, he recovers & that we can have him back with us ASAP.

He is still in ICU at UVA for the swelling in his brain. It has gone down some, but he still has a ways to go. Once the brain swelling is under control, Vinny will need reconstructive surgery for his face and possibly his eyes & jaw as his teeth were knocked out & his eye sockets broken (which blocked his airways, making it hard for him to breathe). In addition to those injuries, he also has a tear in one lung & two broken ribs. That said, medical bills are already piling up & Vinny doesn't have health insurance. On top of medical bills, we don't want Vinny to worry about his regular bills getting paid while he's recovering (such as his phone bill, auto payment, CC's, etc.).

If you know Vinny, you know how good his heart is. You know how much he cares about the people around him. He's always dancing (most of the time, in the mirror, & you likely have seen this several times on Snapchat), always saying the funniest yet corniest things ever, always randomly singing or dropping some bars just to get a smile from you. He did not deserve this. He would give the shirt off of his back if you needed it. His socks too. He is always quick to provide uplifting words of encouragement & make people feel good about themselves. & Lord knows, Vinny can tell some funny stories! Vinny has brought so much joy to those that know & care about him. Vinny is the sweetest young man & I wish this were all a dream I could wake up from.
