Vintage Tea Party for Variety Ireland
Donation protected
Hello everyone ☺️ As this year’s Miss Donegal Harvey’s Point Hotel, I am holding a charity ‘Vintage Tea Party’ at my house, ‘The Cove Lodge B&B’, Donegal Town on Saturday the 10th of August from 12-3pm ☕️ The ‘Vintage Tea Party’ will be in aid of Miss Ireland’s chosen charity, ‘Variety Ireland’, who are a non-profit children’s charity that help children who are sick, disadvantaged & have special needs ♥️

As part of my Miss Ireland 2019 journey, I hope to use my platform to raise awareness & work closely with children with special needs. I am a Home Economics, Biology & Science teacher, however I have worked closely with children with various types of special educational needs over the last few years, who have come from all different types of socio-economic backgrounds & in a range of different schools. In fact, I spent my first year out of college working in an ASD unit and found it especially enriching ✨
Due to these experiences, I have become aware of the extremely rewarding nature of working with children with special needs & I have also gained an insight and understanding of the challenges & obstacles that can arise within the lives of these children & their families. It’s also important to recognise the excellent support systems in place in schools today for these children, ensuring that they are provided with the assistance & encouragement to achieve their individual best. However, children with special needs regularly experience a lack of facilities in the wider community. This is why ‘Variety Ireland’ & other such worthy charities provide invaluable support. I’m so thrilled to have the opportunity to work with such a special charity over the next few weeks & months.
If you would like to find out more about ‘Variety Ireland’ and what they do, you can have a look at their website using the following link: https://www.varietyireland.org/what-we-do/our-programs/
Everyone is welcome to the Tea Party - please feel free to bring some bakes yourself! Donations will be accepted on the day & there’ll also be a raffle with some fantastic spot prizes - more of that to follow. Please feel free to share with your family & friends. It would be great to see as many as possible for a fun-filled (& delicious) afternoon ♥️☕️
If you cannot attend the Tea Party or would like to donate through this GoFundMe, please feel free to do so. I would really appreciate your support.
Every little helps ✨
Thank you so much in advance,
Holly x
