Violent Attack Leaves Verbs (Kyle) Unable To Walk

In the early morning of August 27th, Kyle Guy, aka "Verbs" was walking home from an event he was djing when he got attacked by an unknown individual. Kyle was slammed to the ground, and his knees were kicked in repeatedly, leaving him in excruciating pain and unable to move.

Our friend suffered severe damages to his legs. Paramedics brought him to the hospital, where he had to undergo immediate surgery and remain in the hospital for seven days.

Doctors cannot say when he will be able to walk again… Kyle is an avid bicyclist, bike tour guide, performer, and DJ/Event Promoter, so this immediately and severely impacts his life and livelihood.

Kyle is trying to stay positive as he does so well, but he now has to get around in a wheelchair, attend various physical therapy, utilize handicapped Ubers or assisted transport, upgrade his wheelchair (to a more long-term or electric one that works on bumps & ramps), and must adapt his entire life to that of a handicapped one.

Losing one’s ability to walk from a life-altering attack is something that will take time and resources to heal. That is why we are kindly asking friends and the community to chip in and help put Verbs back on his feet. If you cannot afford to contribute at this time, please share with others who may be able to.

We estimate the next six months will cost him an extra $5-$10,000 to cover:

Wheelchair upgrade

Handicap or Assisted Transport to Doctor Appointments

Physical therapy

Delivered meals if needed

Handicap adjustments for work set up & apartment

Lost wages toward rent
