Bonham Family Medical Support

As many of you know, Ben and Lana Bonham have been walking a very long and difficult road with their 16-year old daughter Violet. She started experiencing a variety of symptoms - debilitating shortness-of-breath, chest pain, dizziness and various neurological symptoms, which have left her fairly incapacitated since the end of December 2021. After several months of testing, poking, prodding and doctor's appointments, she was diagnosed with chronic Lyme Disease with severe side effects and has not shown improvement in spite of various treatments she has received.

 

Violet is normally a bright, vibrant, athletic 16-yr old with a joyful spirit, so the past six months have been such a change and have taken its toll on Vi and the family. Thankfully, Lana and Ben have been led to an intensive treatment center that offers a 2-week program for Lyme Disease. Lana and Violet will travel there in early June. We are all praying this will bring healing to this energetic young girl and that she will get her life back!

 

However, as you can imagine, the treatments have been and will be quite costly, especially this new trip and treatment.

 

This is where we come in! When we describe Lana and Ben the words "salt of the earth" come to mind. We know so many of us have watched them selflessly open their home to others, including most recently adopting three kids in 2021 (bringing the total to 7 kids!) Most of us stand in awe of their generosity, warmth and love - not just in their family, but with their friends, and their community.

 

While we all continue to pray for the healing of this sweet girl, we know one way we can support the Bonhams is by helping relieve a little bit of the financial burden that they are experiencing right now. Thank you so much for anything you can contribute! All funds will be used to offset the medical and travel expenses that have been and will be incurred for Violet's treatment.
