Violin Fundraiser
Donation protected
UPDATE: Because of everyone’s incredible, incredible support and love, I am able to extend my goal to $15,000 from $10,000!! When I set my original goal, I simply intended to find something relatively feasible, but I never truly anticipated reaching it. I am blown away by the success of this fundraiser and so appreciative of your support as I am looking at instruments between $50,000 and $75,000. Every donation made and to be made makes the world of the difference, inching me closer and closer to my next violin.
As I have advanced in my education and career, the time has come for me to upgrade my instrument. While I have fallen in love with the beautiful instrument I have owned now over the last 4 years, it is time for me to search for a new violin to embark on the next chapter of my journey. I have been blessed to have an instrument that has allowed me to grow and take me places I never could have imagined before.
It took me to NYO-USA’s European tour, helped me get accepted to the New England Conservatory, the Juilliard School, and other conservatories, and the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra where I played Strauss’ Ein Heldenleben, the most difficult concertmaster solo in classical music, on tour in South Africa! However, to compete on the World Stage and continue my growth as a musician, it is time to move on.
That is why I am hosting this recital - to fundraise for a new violin! Classical music survives on the generosity and support of others, which is why I have decided to bring my music back home and share all I have learned and experienced with you all as the next stages of my career begin. Nowadays, I am playing with musicians with instruments much more valuable than mine, some of which that are valued in the hundreds of thousands and even million dollar ranges.
Thank you so much for your continued support across the years, and I hope to be able to share a piece of me with you on Saturday, the 29th, at 3:00 pm at the corner of East Fourth and Basin Steets in the Trachte Music Center on the campus of Lycoming College.
If you aren’t available to be there in person, head on over to my website at www.michaelfisherviolin.com to catch the livestream!
Hope to see you there!
