Viols of Creek to Boston Summer 2023

Viols of the Creek is a viola da gamba ensemble from Houston, TX made up of students from Woodcreek MS and Summer Creek HS. Thanks to generous support and instruments from the Viola da Gamba Society of America, Viols of Houston and locals in Texas, we are the only ensemble of this kind that exists in the state of Texas and the largest of only a few groups nationwide. In February 2022 we were honoured to be the first viol ensemble to be invited and perform at the Texas Music Educators Convention!

We are thrilled to announce that we have been invited to perform at the prestigious, bi-annual, Boston Early Music Festival this Summer in June 2023. It is a unique and life-changing opportunity to have such a young, eager ensemble of students perform at this incredible music festival and get to experience music by some of the leading early music performers of our day.

We need your help to make this trip a possibility. Your generosity will help cover expenses including air travel, housing, local transportation, and educational activities.
