Who this will help

Hi, my name is Calinda Comeaux. I

am asking for help to raise money to be able to pay for my mom ( Virginia “Ginny” Comeaux’s) funeral and headstone.

Why I'm fundraising

My mom was very independent all her life. And as she had gotten older it was hard for her to ask and or accept help from anyone or to even realize when she really needed it. She had a heart of gold. She never met a stranger. She was always giggling and bringing joy to others. Her smile was infectious. She was very loved and dependable to anyone that asked for her help. Her nickname at work was “ole faithful” because you could always count on Ms. Ginny to get the job done. She loved working with the children of our community. She was diagnosed with Dementia and Alzheimer’s in September of 2023 and not long after that the symptoms and other medical issues began to increase to the point to where she was admitted into in the hospital for a week. They transported her to the nursing home where she stayed for twenty days until she passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023. It was very sudden and unexpected. I do not have any way to raise the money in time to be able to have her a funeral or even purchase a headstone for her. So I am asking with a sincere heart for you to find it in your heart to please help me and my family to be able to lay my mom to rest. She has fought a good fight with pain and suffering and she deserves to be at peace. Thank you so much for taking the time to help me and my family in our time of need.

The impact of your support

The funds that are raised will go towards paying for her funeral services and to purchase/delivery of her headstone. And any other money raised will go to assist in paying for the bills she left behind. It would mean so very much to me and my family to be able to honor and serve my mom as she has honored and served others in her lifetime. She has always taken care of other people’s needs before her own. So we would love to return the favor with being able to pay for her funeral and headstone in full.
