Virtual Learning Care Packages

We are the Murphy School 8th Grade teachers and we are hoping to raise funds to create care packages for our incoming Class of 2021. Due to the current pandemic crisis, we've moved to full remote learning to keep our students and our community safe.
We miss our kids desperately and we miss the many ceremonies and celebrations we have to start as a new school year together. That is why we want to create a care package for each of our students with essential items to make sure that they have the best opportunity for success, even in the less than ideal situation.
Our incoming 8th grade class is made up of almost 70 Chicago Public School Students. They are brilliant and energetic, but might not have the tools at home for virtual learning.
Thats why we want to fill a backpack with a set of headphones with microphone attached, essential school supplies like a white board, markers, calculator, and a copy of books they will need for each class. We want to provide them with materials so they can create a calm learning space at home where they can learn best.
Your donation will support us in making the start of the school year special and a little less stressful for our students and families.
