Virtual Pilgrimage to Dzogchen Monastery

Volunteers from across different Shenpen charities in Europe and the US are taking part in a virtual pilgrimage from the Clear Mind Dzogchen Centre in France (near Toulouse) to Dzogchen Monastery in South India.

The pilgrimage is approx. 10,000km long and would typically take 90 days of non-stop walking to complete. Whilst walking, our pilgrims will accumulate the Om Mani Padma Hung mantra for peace.

Walks will either be completed together on official routes or individually in the person's local area.

Each person's kms will be added together so that we collectively reach the 10,000 km total.

More information about Shenpen International: The word "shenpen" comes from the Tibetan "shen la phen pa" which literally means, "to bring benefit to others". Since 2003, Shenpen has been established in America, Australia, France, Germany, Holland, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Through its many activities, Shenpen helps preserve the unique cultural and spiritual heritage of Tibet. The international teaching programmes of His Eminence the 7th Dzogchen Rinpoche, are hosted by Shenpen. The programmes provide a precious opportunity for people to connect with the Dharma, allowing Shenpen to support His Eminence in upholding the authentic Dzogchen lineage.

Shenpen is a non-political, non-profit organisation, and although its principles are rooted in the teaching of the Buddha to help and not harm, it is also non-religious. It strives to serve people of all castes, religions, and social or political backgrounds without prejudice.
