Virtual Shiva for David Leffler
Donation protected
Friends and Family,
On November 25th, 2020, our dear friend and loving father, David Leffler, experienced a severe aneurysm. As of January 2021, David is in hospice at a facility near his home in Austin, and is expected to leave this world any day.
If you were lucky enough to know David, you were lucky to know his love of friends and family. You know that while he had adopted Austin as his new home, he was a New Yorker to his core, always quick with a joke and a wide grin. You know how much he loved to gather, to talk, to listen, to tell stories, to laugh, to hug. You know his quick wit and sharp intellect, his charm, and his devotion to helping others. We are already bereft without David's love, warmth, humor, and wisdom.

As we navigate this pandemic world, we are restricted from our normal rituals and customs. We are unable to come together to comfort each other as we grieve the untimely loss of those we love the most. Please join us in mourning and celebrating a life well-lived with a Virtual Shiva.
Donations are welcome in lieu of home delivered meals due to Covid. Any funds not used for food for the family will be put toward a memorial service to take place in New York as soon as we are able to gather in groups. Please check back on this page for updates regarding the memorial service and Virtual Shiva hours over Zoom.
With Love,
Julia Leffler and David Mariuma
