Vision for Leah
Donation protected
Imagine opening your eyes and seeing the world for the first time. Born in China with a rare genetic disorder, Incontinentia Pigmentia, Leah is legally blind. This condition also affects her hearing and central nervous system, as well as her skin, hair and teeth. She was abandoned at a police station at 6 months old. She lived in an orphanage until she was adopted by her loving American parents at 3 years old. Leah is now a bright and beautiful 7-year-old first grader who attends school in Dutchess County, New York. Unable to watch TV, read a book, use a computer or do schoolwork on her VisioBook, Leah’s visual world is limited to less than one inch from any screen.
Last month, Leah was invited to try on a pair of special electronic glasses called eSight. With the eSight glasses, Leah was able to see in a way she never saw before. Sitting on the couch with her parents, Leah watched television for the first time in her life. Leah’s dream to do her schoolwork, read a book, or watch TV can be a reality with the purchase of these special eSight glasses, which cost approximately ten thousand dollars.
My name is Concetta Lozito, I have had the privilege of working with Leah since Kindergarten. With your generous donations, we can make Leah’s dream become a reality. Look into your hearts and please contribute to Leah’s fund on her quest to see the world!
Working together with her dad James, we will see to it that your generous donations go directly to pay for the esight glasses. On behalf of Leah, James and I thank you.
