Vision for Vince Ross
Donation protected
Vince Ross is a father, community involved volunteer, friend to many, and well loved auctioneer locally and nationwide. Vince is fighting a disease, Giant Cell Arteritis-GCA, that has suddenly and without warning robbed him of sight in his left eye and is attacking the sight in the right eye. All medical professionals and all world-class hospitals researched so far, have NO KNOWN REVERSAL OPTIONS and limited abilities to control further vision loss other than corticosteroids.
Giant cell arteritis can cause serious complications, including:
Blindness. Diminished blood flow to your eyes can cause sudden, painless vision loss in one or, rarely, both eyes. Loss of vision is usually permanent.
Aortic aneurysm. An aneurysm is a bulge that forms in a weakened blood vessel, usually in the large artery that runs down the center of your chest and abdomen (aorta). An aortic aneurysm might burst, causing life-threatening internal bleeding.
Because this complication can occur even years after the diagnosis of giant cell arteritis, your doctor might monitor your aorta with annual chest X-rays or other imaging tests, such as ultrasound and CT.

This crowd funding plea is backed by numerous friends in his community as we must help with the staggering medical bills, $70K+ SO FAR, incurred from a non-covered hospital stay at Houston's Methodist Hospital, and the option of cutting edge vision restoration in a clinical institute overseas. The funds are monitored by First Financial Bank in Conroe, Texas as well as Russell Miller, Michelle Bischof and Nathan Arrazate.
Vince has been a vibrant member of the Conroe, Montgomery County area and is well known and admired nationwide for his amazing auctioneering skills. If you have ever heard Vince and his magic auctioneering chants, you understand how he has raised $MILLIONS for live auctions ranging from auto auctions, livestock auctions, elected officials and candidates-for-office auctions, benefits for charity and most recently, the benefit auction that raised enough money to quite honestly save a woman's life from cancer here in Conroe! Our friend Vince was instrumental in raising the needed funds that offered life-saving treatments that took her from death's door to cancer free!
Vince is humble and kind and we MUST help him seek the treatment that could stop him becoming TOTALLY blind and then hopefully, God willing, restore some of the lost sight that most doctors say is gone forever!
On behalf of the "Vision for Vince" fundraising committee, we ask you to DONATE HERE, send a check to one of the event promoters, drop by any branch of First Financial Bank in the Conroe area, donate an auction item for the March 4th event at Johnny B Dalton's or SHOW UP AND SPEND SOME $ while having a great time and sharing some love with Vince Ross.
