Vision of Hope Resource Centre (VOHRC) is an East Brampton-based charity committed to creating a healthy and empowered local community. Since 2013, we have provided programs and services that help children, youth, seniors, and families thrive; we aim to promote well-being and reduce accessibility barriers that impact quality of life. 

 

 

Currently, VOHRC is in the process of expanding our different service initiatives, and we are sincerely reaching out to you with a request for donations. The expanded programs will increase our reach within (and beyond) the neighbourhood and the accessibility of our services. Our three major initiatives are:

1. Food Support Program
Since the pandemic, the pre-existing problem of financial and food insecurity in our neighbourhood has been gravely exacerbated. VOHRC’s food support program and food bank help mitigate this challenge by promoting access to sufficient, nutritious food.

2. Seniors Community Program
VOHRC has worked extensively with seniors in our community to improve physical, mental, and social health. We offer social programming, educational resources, and wraparound health services in order to improve quality of life.


3. Youth Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Campaign
This campaign was launched in response to the growing mental health needs and prevalence of suicide among our Black youth population. Our goal is to provide all-rounded support, develop resilience through educational programs, address barriers in our youth’s everyday lives, and foster community.

 

We look forward to expanding our initiatives, and your support is vital to our ability to provide comprehensive, quality services for different populations in our community. Every contribution counts; your support is never too great or small. Donations of over 20CAD will be eligible for tax receipts. We will also be gift cards and baskets as a token of appreciation for donations of over 500CAD.
