Visions for Jenna

Donation protected
Jenna is 10 years old and was born with cystic fibrosis. CF is a genetic condition, for which there is no cure. Every day, Jenna does breathing treatments, chest therapy and takes various vitamins and medications, just to stay healthy. Some days she needs 25+ pills.

In June 2015, jenna was diagnosed with stargardts disease. It's an early macular degeneration that is causing her to lose her sight.

In June, her vision was 20/100. As of September 9, 2015 her vision was 20/150 in the right eye and 20/125 in the left eye.

There is adaptive equipment available that will assist Jenna in reading and seeing some things better. Insurance doesn't cover these.

Jenna is an awesome big sister to Brooklyn 6, Audrey 5, and Sarah 2, Dakota 14 and Frankie 3. As parents, my husband Curtis and I and Jenna's father Justin and step-mom Jacqi strive to make memories and go on adventures with our families. We want to help Jenna see and experience as many things as she can before he vision gets too bad.

Jenna was recently featured on WXYZ channel 7 news in Detroit, MI. We hope to share her story and inspire others to make the best out of the life they've got!!
