Visual assistance for blind students

Hi, my name is Matt, and I'm the CEO of BeMyEyes. BeMyEyes is the largest platform in the world providing visual assistance to the 285,000,000 blind and low-vision people worldwide in 150 countries. The 425,000 users can ask for help from one of our 6,000,000 volunteers via an on-demand one-way video call. Often it is a short call to help with daily routines like sorting laundry, finding the right food in the pantry or selecting the correct item at the store. In total, we handle almost 1,000,000 calls each year. This service is completely FREE to anyone with a visual impairment. Now we want to extend our service to millions of students all over the globe. In addition to our free service, we want to provide a hands-free video camera to each student. As you might imagine, having a hands-free wearable solution could help a student navigate the educational environment via a direct connect to our volunteers. We are looking for financial support to develop this wearable device and offer it free to any blind student.
