Vitreous Hemorrhage Surgery

Hi, my name is Christine and I am raising funds for a vitreous hemorrhage in my right eye.

One morning a few days after my 54th birthday in October I was driving to work and a swirl of blood began to fill my right eye. I went to two different ophthalmologists, who believed I was at risk for immediate blindness, and then referred me to a retina specialist who scheduled surgery for his next opening November 21, 2023, at Christus Surgery Center in Shreveport.

I do have Insurance “Vision” which is provided by my employer, but does not cover major medical expenses nor will the insurance cross state lines.

I want to thank you in advance for your love and support. This has stopped so many aspects of my livelihood in the classroom and at home in my freelance life.

These funds will cover medical pre and post-op visits as well as transportation costs.
