Jack Millman's Mitzvah Project

Tax deductible
Hello friends and family:

I am becoming a Bar Mitzvah in March 2017.

I decided for my Mitzvah project  to raise awareness of the Holocaust and educate kids about what happened during it. I am bringing the story of a Survivor, my Nana Ruth, to my friends so they can learn first hand about her experiences growing up Jewish in Warsaw, Poland during the Holocaust. She will be speaking at TBJ on January 12th at 5.00pm.  All are welcome to come hear her!

Over the years, I have heard many stories about my family and our history.  My Nana Ruth was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1938. As a young child, her life was transformed from privilege and comfort to horror when Hitler invaded. It is hard to imagine what she and her family and relatives went through but I know it is so important for people to listen to her experiences during the Holcocaust. I want her story to be heard and remembered. It is part of my Jewish heritage and I feel lucky to be able to share my Nana's words with all my friends and families.

In honor of my Nana Ruth and my Mitzvah project, as well as in honor of my Papa Dennis, I am raising funds for the United States Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C. so that the Museum can continue to educate and raise awareness of this important piece of history for generations to come. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum works every day to rescue Holocaust evidence, confront hatred, and prevent genocide. Your contribution will make an immediate and direct impact.

Thank you, Jack Millman
