Diane's Medical Fund

In September of 2013, our friend Diane received a devastating diagnosis. Stage 3A lung cancer. For several months she dealt with the awful side effects of radiation and chemotherapy while trying to maintain a sense of normalcy for herself and her family.

Just when Diane felt things were under control, she started experiencing new, more alarming symptoms- headaches, vision impairment and coordination issues. In November of 2014, testing confirmed the worst: the cancer had progressed to her brain. Five tumors were identified with an additional two discovered the following March. A few months later, as her symptoms continued to worsen, the decision to send her out of her insurance network to try a new course of action was made.

As you can imagine, Diane has endured a great deal at this point. Yet she continues to remain positive, spending time with her grandchildren and friends as much as her health allows. Her bills are continuing to pile up as the new out-of-network treatment begins.

As Diane's friends and family, let's do what we can to help her maintain that positivity she has displayed for so long in order to keep up her quality of life. As her friend, and/or family member, that's what matters most.
