Help Jessica Fight Stage 4 Breast Cancer
Donation protected
Hello Friends, and Family,
I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart to share the challenging journey my little sister, Jessica, is currently facing. In December of 2023, Jessica underwent a mammogram for a lump on her right breast. Following further examination and a right breast biopsy, the results came back as stage 2 breast cancer on January 9th, 2024. Jessica and her wife, Kimberly, traveled to MD Anderson in Houston, Texas the following week and Jessica endured a whirlwind of appointments, imaging, and blood tests.
After further discussion with her physicians at MD Anderson, they collectively decided that Jessica should continue her fight with a local Oncologist in Austin. Upon returning to Austin, she underwent another biopsy on her left breast due to calcifications found during an exam, leading to additional imaging with an MRI and a PET scan. The results revealed hot spots in four areas throughout her body, indicating that the cancer had metastasized to her bones, resulting in a stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis.
Unfortunately, Jessica was let go from her job due to her diagnosis. Despite the hardships, she is thankful to be able to focus all her energy on fighting this battle and moving forward. Jessica will soon be starting chemotherapy and radiation for the next several months. My little sister is a fighter. She has always approached life with kindness, laughter, resilience, and courage. Despite the pain and uncertainty that cancer has brought into her life, she continues to demonstrate incredible strength and determination with a smile on her face. However, the financial burden resulting from medical bills, treatments, and the sudden loss of employment has placed a significant strain on her ability to navigate this challenging time.
Our goal is to provide Jessica with the support and resources she needs to focus on her recovery without the added stress of financial worries. We have set up this GoFundMe campaign to rally around her and show her that she is not alone in this fight.
Your generosity, no matter how big or small, will make a meaningful impact on Jessica's journey toward recovery and rebuilding. Please consider sharing this campaign with your network to amplify the support and love that we can provide during this challenging time.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, compassion, and generosity. Let's unite to lift Jessica in her time of need!
