Goodman Family House Fire

On the evening of March 27th, 2024, my sister’s home was struck by lightning during a strong storm that passed over Kyle, TX. My nephew Logan was already home from school when the lightning struck the roof directly over his room, which resulted in an attic fire. Thanks to the swift response of a neighbor who witnessed the strike, Logan and their family pets were quickly removed from the home safely and the firefighters were called immediately. Although the response was quick, there were smoldering embers in the attic that were undetected, and their home sustained quite a bit of damage.

Mark is a Marine Veteran that works at Epic Piping and Hayley is the Lead Sonographer at Resolute Baptist Hospital in New Braunfels, TX. Mark and Hayley have a young family with three children, Logan, Kyndal, and Carter as well as a few family pets. They are both hard working and dedicated to serving others in their community. While they have insurance coverage and it is expected to pay for the damage and repairs, the process will take time. Their family currently finds themselves displaced and residing in a hotel with a teenager, a pre-teen, a toddler, and their pets until the insurance is resolved. It is apparent that they will need prayers as well as financial support while navigating the challenges that are involved in this process.

All things considered, Hayley and Mark would never ask for assistance, so we are asking for them. We’re launching this Go Fund Me campaign to provide immediate financial support that will help them cover essential expenses while they wait for the insurance to determine what will be done. This will help to alleviate the burden of this unexpected hardship on this resilient family as they navigate the process of rebuilding their lives.

From necessities to temporary housing, every donation will make a significant difference in supporting the Goodman family during this challenging journey of restoration.
