Vjosa Campus - Independent Living Education
Donation protected
Vjosa Foundation - an organisation founded for the purpose of supporting autistic children and adults around the world, has now begun to design its first Vjosa Campus.
The campus, a small village-type community in reality, is a complex of 20-30 houses used for semi-independent living, by autistic adolescents. The aim is to improve the functional ability of youths and adults by teaching and assisting them on doing everyday tasks.
The staff will be present and available for any and all assistance, day and night.
Every youth will naturally learn and progress at their own pace, as the goal for our Campuses is not to achieve a specific, pre-set level of independence.
Rather, our goal is to help as many autistic people to become as independent as possible.
Vjosa Foundation's Campus -project has already received support from the EU and will be presented to the UN during the following year.
We are also fortunate to receive support from WHO, and have been invited to participate and present our Campus project in their General Assembly conference in Geneve.
VF has also garnered the support of WAO - World Autism Organisation, and has taken part in their 2020 BIAC conference.
Our first Campus is set to be built in Pristina, Kosovo. However, with your support, we intend to build these Campuses worldwide.
VF is honored to introduce their wonderful ambassadors: Alea Mehaj - a young actress and Young Miss Universe 2018 winner, Erza Muqoli - an accomplished young singer and founding member of the pop group Kids United, Genc Tukiqi - an internationally known pianist and composer recognized as one of the most outstanding instrumentalists of his generation, and Adelina Ismajli - an iconic Albanian singer.
Our mission consists of multiple campaigns, first of which has a goal of 10 000€.
The money is used to realize the project for our first Campus - we'll ensure the funcionality and build quality of our Campus by working with the most capable architects, designers, engineers and landscapers.
We will keep updating our website (https://www.vjosa.fi/) and our Facebook and Instagram pages as the project makes progress.
