Ella was diagnosed on March 12th, 2021 with a rare pediatric bone cancer, Osteosarcoma. Originally thought to have a broken arm after a night at the skating rink, an ER visit turned into devastating news for her family. As you can imagine, this will be a difficult time for her family financially. Ella has a long journey ahead of her with starting chemotherapy next week and 8 months of treatment.
Ella's Osteosarcoma is localized in her arm with a tumor measured at 4.2 inches. Her team of doctors want to immediately start chemotherapy to aggressively attack any microscopic amounts of tumor outside of Ella's arm. It takes 6 cycles of chemotherapy to treat this cancer. She will also be having surgery 3 months into treatment to remove the tumor and bone in her arm.
Ella is an 11 year old, 6th grader at Madeira Middle School who is a strong willed, energetic and loves to play lacrosse, hangout with friends, and make TikTok videos. Ella is ready to fight her battle and has a huge support system behind her.
We are asking for help from family, friends, and our community to help raise funds to relieve the financial burden from her family during her treatment. There will be many medical expenses and loss of work due to long-term stays at the hospital. We want her family to fully focus on her health and getting her through these next 8 months and not have to worry about the cost involved. Any donation is greatly appreciate.
