Hi, my name is Jennifer, I’m Miley’s Mom.

This is a fundraiser for help with veterinary care for the TPLO surgery Miley needs for her knee. The cost of the surgery, the follow ups, pain medication, and what we’ve already paid for diagnostics will be more than $5,000. Her surgery is scheduled for Monday 7/31/2023.

This precious dog deserves the chance to run and happily play again. Would you please consider helping us provide this surgery for her? We know we have a large community of friends who love fur-babies. We have seen how several people coming together and giving some funds adds up so quickly. We’ve helped when we can, and are hoping our sweet baby can get help now. The recovery will be rough; but, in 8-12 weeks after surgery she should be able to walk normally again! In 6 months she should be able to run and play with her girls again!!

Miley recently hurt herself and started limping and sometimes can’t put any weight down on her rear left leg. After crate rest and pain medication, there was minimal improvement. On 7/25/2023 Miley had X-rays taken. The X-rays and manual exam confirmed a ruptured CCL (cranial cruciate ligament). The surgery recommended for her is a TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy).

Miley is a very special member of our family. We adopted her from a local pet rescue when she was 8 months old, she’s almost 9 years old now. Every day with her has been pure love and joy. Miley is sweet and gentle. She loves everyone, especially children. Her two human sisters are her world! She loves playing with her girls and going to the park with them. She wants to be included in everything they are doing. We hope and pray she will be running and playing with her girls again!

Miley’s veterinarian believes she could be well on her way to recovery by Christmas. Miley loves Christmas so much. Having her well for Christmas would be the best present our family could ask for.
