Words can’t explain the pain of losing a child. On March 3rd in the early morning hours, we lost our son Lance Rice in a tragic car accident.

Sometimes on social media I see GoFundMe links floating around and I always read the horrific stories and feel so horrible for the person going through that on the other end. You never think that could be you in that position one day having to create something to help someone you love going through unspeakable traumas.

Well today that is us, some of you may have heard through social media or word of mouth about a tragic car accident in Orlando Florida which led to the death of a CT man. That CT man was our son.

Lance was 30 years old and on his way home from his first ever vacation which tragically ended up being his last. He and his girlfriend went to visit family in Florida and were on their way home from Orlando when their car was rear-ended by another vehicle which caused his vehicle to overturn and crash into a light pole before coming to rest in a pond. Our son was the driver and was ejected from the vehicle and died on scene. His girlfriend was critically injured but thank God has survived.

Although our family is banding together to help in any way possible there are many financial burdens we are facing including flying our sons body home to put him at rest, funeral expenses, and everything in between that you never think about. So, we are humbly asking if you can make any donation no matter how small our family would greatly appreciate it.
