Please help our family avoid homelessness.

We can no longer afford to stay in our home, but we also cannot afford to move. Due to rising costs of living and insufficient income, we’ve been struggling tremendously to make ends meet. We started falling behind when the Safeway store we worked at closed unexpectedly. Then, we were plunged deeper into debt when my husband was laid of from his next job and a knee injury kept him out of work. The part-time job I secured has disqualified us from government benefits, but doesn’t pay enough to fill the hole that left in our monthly budget …leaving us in even deeper deficits than we were before. I’ve contacted agencies around the city for support, but we have not qualified for assistance. We have been given until March 7, 2024 to pay the entire balance of our past due rent to avoid eviction, otherwise, an eviction will be filed against us and prevent us from qualifying for a low-income rental in the future. We are trying to do right by our kids, and not end up on the streets. Absolutely anything would help. If we cannot raise enough to secure our current residence all funds will be used to relocate our family into a new home. Thank you and god bless.
