Send C4SS to the 2016 APEE

The Center for a Stateless Society (C4SS) is at the forefront of the contemporary revival of left-wing market anarchism. We publish books, magazines, and pamphlets, as well as op-eds syndicated to mainstream media outlets around the world, to spread the message of free markets without capitalist domination, and voluntary social order without the state.
The Association of Private Enterprise Education (APEE) holds a prominent annual interdisciplinary academic conference featuring free-market-oriented research.
With the exception of last year (when we had to cancel for budgetary reasons), C4SS has had a panel at every APEE program since 2010. This year’s meeting will be in Las Vegas, April 3-5, and the topic of the C4SS panel will be “Prisons: Reform or Abolition?”
Our panelists will be Nathan Goodman (C4SS’s Lysander Spooner Research Scholar in Abolitionist Studies), Jason Lee Byas (C4SS Fellow, and graduate student in philosophy at Georgia State), Gary Chartier (C4SS Senior Fellow, and Professor of Law at La Sierra U.), Daniel J. D’Amico (Associate Professor of Economics at Loyola New Orleans and Associate Director of the Political Theory Project at Brown U.), and Roderick T. Long (C4SS Senior Fellow, and Professor of Philosophy at Auburn U.).
Nathan and Jason, our two student panelists, need financial assistance in getting to the conference. If you’d like to help them bring the radical libertarian message of prison abolition to the APEE, any contribution would be appreciated. Don’t worry if you can give only a small amount; every bit helps. And if not enough is raised to get Jason and Nathan to Vegas, your money will be refunded.
Estimated budget for Jason and Nathan:
hotel: three nights at 179.00 per night = 537.00 each
conference registration (includes dinner on Sunday, and breakfast and lunch on Monday and Tuesday): 452.00 each
airfare: approximately 300.00 each
meals (those not included in registration): at least 100.00 each
TOTAL: 1389.00 per person, or 2778.00 for both Jason and Nathan
