Joe Smith Stroke Expenses

Hi Everyone - Joe Smith is a DEG tech and a contractor with PRIDE working for Morgan Stanley for over 12 years.  He has been our go to guy with any technical issues and always went above and beyond to help the team out. He’s the voice on the other end of the phone who patiently resolves the tough IT issues, and he would be there for us even when he was off work to help. He made us laugh hysterically with his quirky sense of humor and made up words that you would have to google it to figure out what he was talking about.

Some of you may know that on April 17th our Joe had a stroke.  He was transferred last week to rehab for acute physical therapy which also involves speech and occupational therapy as well.  

He is paralyzed on his whole left side and his cognition is off which is to be expected with a stroke. At this point we have no idea how long he will be there, and how long it will take him to fully recover.
 
Joe and his wife Isabella do not have insurance, and I am hoping that maybe some of us would like to help them out during this hardship by donating to their Venmo account to help with some of the rapidly rising medical costs. This is completely optional.

Please keep your fingers crossed for them and that he will be home soon.   It has been almost a month and we still don’t know.
