Vocational Nursing Cohort 2022 Pinning Ceremony
Donation protected
Dear Community Members,
On December 14th, Southwestern College's Vocational Nursing Program will be celebrating the graduation of its 2022 cohort. As students of this program, we have worked so hard over the last 18 months and are eager to put our education and experience into action.
Our cohort has come together to learn how to provide quality care to all community members, including the young, the elderly, and the ill. Additionally, we have learned the value of preventative medicine, teamwork, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Over the course of the program, we have sought out opportunities to volunteer in the community, including participating in flu clinics and workshops with Southwestern College's Youth Excellence and Success Academy. We began our nursing journey amid the pandemic and have learned to adapt in order to be successful in this program. We have spent hundreds of hours in clinical rotations and are committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care.
Due to restrictions put in place in response to the ongoing pandemic, fundraising opportunities have been extremely limited. We would love to be able to share our achievements and excitement with our families and faculty at the pinning ceremony. We are reaching out to the community for donations to help make this a reality. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Any and all donations are appreciated. If there happen to be any funds left over, we will leave them for the incoming vocational nursing cohort. Nurses inspiring nurses!
With eager hearts and excited minds,
The next generation of nurses;
