Mark Vogenthaler's Remembrance Fundraiser

As many of you may have heard, our beloved father, Mark Vogenthaler, went into sudden cardiac arrest and passed away on Sunday, August 6th around 2:00 A.M. His sudden death came as an unbearable shock for our family. We never could have foreseen losing our father so suddenly and unexpectedly. We really appreciate all of the support, condolesences, and prayers everyone has offered for our family during this difficult time. Our dad mentioned in life that he would like to be buried among family and friends, and as such we are trying to raise money to have our father laid to rest at the Longmont Foothills Garden of Memories cemetery. As some of you may know, this site offers a natural burial service where loved ones can pass on beautifully and organically. Other family friends like Steve Tamayo and Fumiko Bruner were laid to rest there, and I feel that my father would appreciate being among people he knew in life. However, the costs associated with the funeral service my father deserves are well outside the reach of our family, and we reaching out in hopes that others might be willing to support our family financially during this terribly difficult time.

A little about Mark, our dad had a great passion for life, his family, and so many things. He was always there whenever life would happen. In fact, he made a point of being there especially when life happened. He got our family through any hardship that came our way. Our father was deeply sentimental and always made sure to bring our family together for every occasion he could. He loved family dinners and gatherings more than anything. He would always find any reason to celebrate even the smallest of accomplishments we had. He made the best barbeque and he loved cooking for anyone who would ask. There were so many things we loved about our father even with his shortcomings. But most of all, he never stopped trying. He never stopped wanting to do more for us whenever he could and was always looking for ways to contribute or be part of our lives, no matter how big or small. Now it's our turn to do everything we can to honor our father and the legacy of love he left for us.

Our family has always been burdened with great financial hardship, and we want to be able to give our father the full funeral service he deserves. We are asking for the help of others, to please donate whatever is affordable to help us with the high funeral costs we are currently facing and unable to meet. Any amount no matter how small would be deeply appreciated by our family.
