"Voice of the Blue Devils" Bob Harris

Our dear friend and “Voice of the Blue Devils”, Bob Harris needs our help.

In his 40 seasons at Duke, Hall of Famer Bob Harris broadcast 471 consecutive Duke football games and 1,392 Duke basketball games.

Bob has called six postseason Duke football bowl games. He has worked 13 NCAA Final Four basketball events including all five of Duke’s National Championship Titles.

A favorite among fans and Duke athletes through the years, Blue Devils faithful, regardless of the score or time remaining, could not rest easy until they heard Bob declare “How Sweet It Is”!!!

Three years ago, Bob was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Since then, Bob’s disease has progressed to where he requires around-the-clock care and supervision. Providing this care is expensive and has become a financial burden for Bob and his family.
