Voice of the Burgh - Rich Sheffer Needs Our Help

If you’re from the Burgh, you undoubtedly know Rich Sheffer. Rich has been calling Lansingburgh sports games since the ‘60s - his voice is iconic within the Lansingburgh community. Rich’s service and generosity make him an icon, too. Rich has been involved with the Lansingburgh Boys & Girls Club for as long as we all can remember. He is a staple at every fundraising event, always lending a hand in anyway he can.

It’s our turn to give back to Rich. Rich has been in the hospital for several weeks and is now is at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital. Rich has a spine condition that has rendered him unable to walk. Rich will likely be sent home later this month and he is determined to walk again. To do so, Rich will need a lot of expensive equipment for in-home rehab that is not covered by insurance. Let’s all come together and give what we can to ensure Rich has the best possible chance to make a full recovery.
