A Voice for Courage
Donation protected
Hi all. For those of you who know Leslie O'Connor-Parsons, one of our fellow butlers, colleague at Southern Accent and a dear dear friend of many years, has been battling cancer for over a year now. She has had a major operation along with chemo treatments. And now rehabilitation. For the last year, she has had to live with her parents so that she could have proper care and assistance. This meant relocating to Alberta. I had the privelage of seeing her for the first time in a year not too long ago. My heart broke. Truly. And it gave me a perspective, once again, on how life can change in a blink of an eye for any of us. I am so moved by her courage and strength with this battle. Unfortunately, Leslie hasn't been able to work nor have any funds come in to help her with her steps forward. I called this fund raiser "A Voice for Courage" because Leslie had to have her entire tongue cut out. I will not continue on with describing her battle, as I know that there is no need to on that little bit of info. This is totally a "do what you can" pledge. Whomever donates, your name will be included in a card that I send out to her with the donations that you warmly contribute. On behalf of Leslie (as she is not aware that I am doing this) and on behalf of myself....THANK YOU!!
