Volunteering in South Africa

My name is Anita Funkhouser and I have an opportunity this summer to work with Children and Animals in Port Elizabeth, South Africa for two weeks. I will be part of the Volunteers in South Africa. Their mission statement is “Our purpose is to serve humanity and wildlife by facilitating ways and resources in which people can get involved to help improve ways of living in South Africa and Africa at large.” I am excited about what God is going to do in my life and what I can share with these children. I am excited to learn more about Africa and how God will use my gifts to serve Him. I believe that God has called me to be part of the trip, and I am inviting you to be part of this adventure with me. I’m excited about the opportunity and experience that lie ahead. I hope you see the value in what we can accomplish. As you can imagine, a trip like this requires financial support from a number of people. I need to raise $5,000 by Nov 8th. If you can support me in a financial way, I would be very grateful. And most importantly, I also need your prayer support. Prayer is the fuel that will allow us to be successful as we follow God’s leading in Ministry to the children in South Africa. Without prayer, nothing will happen.
