Volunteer Needs Your Aid After Fire Loss

Malibu Creek Docent Association (MCD) is fundraising for one of our volunteers whose home was lost during the recent Pacific Palisades Fire. All funds raised as a part of this 2-week fundraising effort will be given directly to our volunteer.

Our docent Hashi is a MCD Board member and committee chair for our Interpretation Committee. Over the years that she has been volunteering at Malibu Creek State Park she has made significant contributions to the MCD organization, the Park, and visitors. She has been instrumental in launching our very popular Junior Ranger program and has given so much to Malibu Creek State Park and MCD.

During the recent Pacific Palisades Fire, her home in Malibu was burnt to the ground, and she had to leave her home and evacuate with only an overnight bag.

We would like to take this opportunity to do a quick fundraiser for her and her family to help them get back on their feet, as she and her family start their difficult recovery process. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time.
