Volunteer trip to Grand Gauve Haiti

Hello all.  I am  joining a team of 11 other people to go to Haiti to build a home for a family without one.  We will be working with “Be Like Brit” ( www.belikebrit.org ) a charitable organization based in Worcester, MA.  Be Like Brit was founded by the parents of Britney Gengel who lost her life during the earthquake in 2010.  Britney was a compassionate 19 year old when she decided to travel to the country of Haiti with her college. Three hours before the devastating earthquake struck the country she sent a text to her mom saying… "They love us so much and everyone is so happy. They love what they have and they work so hard to get nowhere, yet they are all so appreciative. I want to move here and start an orphanage myself."

Since 2010 the Be Like Brit organization has built an earth quake proof orphanage that is home for 66 children and has given a tremendous amount of charity to the people of Haiti.  I am working hard to participate in this program, but need your help.  The money we are raising will go towards travel expenses, the costs of the home building materials, food for the local family and a goat.

We will be traveling with a close family friend who participated on a trip last year.  The following video he created does an excellent job of highlighting the struggles faced by these children and the people of Haiti.
