Volunteer Work at Sioux Reservation
Donation protected
Our group plans to travel across the country to South Dakota this June. To say the least, the trip is very important. We will stay in a Native American reservation and work with the youth of the community. The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Reservation has struggled with poverty, violence, and suicide in the past. By working in collaboration with the non-profit organization Simply Smiles, we will truly be making a difference in a rich, beautiful culture that deserves our help.
Our group is made up of five BUHS students and two adults from the community. These students are Sam Freitas-Eagan, Bella Takacs, Lizzy Wright, Sarah Butterfield, and Alex Shriver. We are all very excited to go on the trip to help this community in need, but we can only do this if we have the funds to get us there and back. Any donations help, and we would greatly appreciate them.
