Volunteering at 'Little Roses' School in Ghana
Donation protected
Hello, My name is Tayla-Daisy, and I am 17 years old, raising money for my volunteer trip to Ghana in 2023.
Ten other sixth-form students from my school and I are heading to a school called 'Little Roses' in Ghana in the Summer of 2023. Little Roses is a private primary and junior secondary school in Anloga, Ghana. This school educates approximately 200 children between the ages of 7 and 16. Unfortunately, this school is severely underfunded; there aren't enough desks for all students, and there is a significant lack of basic equipment such as textbooks. Little Roses is located in an area where poverty is prevalent; children in this area often have to work for their families rather than attend school to help generate income. Schools such as Little Roses are trying to encourage more children to start school earlier and stay in education longer.
Little Roses aims to convert all classrooms into permanent, brick-built structures, as well as paint the classrooms and provide desks and chairs.
My school and I would like to help them by providing sports equipment, clothes, sanitary products and stationery. When we travel to Little Roses, we will be teaching the students lessons of our choosing, coaching them in many different sports and helping build structures around the school, including moulding bricks for future builds.
100% of the funds provided will go to my £2,195 goal needed to attend the trip.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
