Volunteering on the Polish border with Ukraine

Hello all, my name is Anna Kaminski, and I'm volunteering with World Central Kitchen on the Polish border with Ukraine for the second time since mid-March. World Central Kitchen is a charity headed by Spanish-American chef José Andrés; they set up field kitchens wherever there are man-made or natural disasters and provide hot meals to anyone in need. From mid-March, I spent two weeks volunteering at the WCK kitchen in Przemyśl, where they are helping to feed thousands of Ukrainian refugees coming across the border every day. As you may know, Russia's unprovoked war on Ukraine has resulted in a humanitarian disaster on an immense scale, and the number of refugees may reach up to 8 million. I'm currently in Przemyśl for an additional two weeks, and looking to return in the summer as well, since it looks like the war will last considerably longer than originally supposed.
Many generations of my family, including all my grandparents, hail from Ukraine, and I want to help Ukrainian refugees in practical terms. Besides volunteering for WCK, I've found other ways to support Ukrainians in need, from purchasing emergency medical supplies (trauma bandages, Woundclot, tourniquets, wound dressings) to send to eastern Ukraine via a medic contact in Kyiv, to distributing underwear for women, children and babies at the Przemyśl train station to new arrivals from Ukraine, many of whom have had to flee with practically nothing.
It would mean a great deal to me if you could pitch in with my basic living expenses; the more funds I raise, the longer I can stay out there and the more I can do to help on the ground.
Many thanks!
