Volunteering with EcoSwell in Peru

I am Nicole, a student at Newcastle University, studying Civil and Structural Engineering. I have been given the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills that I have learned in my last 3 years into practice as part of my Global Engineering module, volunteering with EcoSwell in Lobitos, Peru.

EcoSwell aims to drive and implement sustainable projects in vulnerable communities, improving lives, whilst restoring natural ecosystems. The projects include; reforestation and conservation, water and sanitation, research and monitoring, public health, and renewable energy. I will complete different activities, such as running in a half marathon in November 2023 and completing 50k over January, to help raise money that will fund the work I will be undertaking. Any donation will be greatly appreciated!
