Help me pay my bills

For the last 9 months, I have been fighting Apple Inc. and their anti-Palestinian racism. On October 9, Tim Cook expressed heartbreak over the loss of innocent Israeli lives, and yet 9 months into this gen0cide he has said absolutely nothing about the loss of innocent P@lestinian life.

I’ve been fighting tooth and nail to get this company to stand by their own alleged morals, and have been so loud in my activism. I knew they were waiting for me to fuck up, and of course, the moment I did, they fired me. 

On June 27, I recorded a video of myself doing my job for an interview. A leader (someone I had considered a friend), saw this, and told me it wasn’t acceptable. He said to me, “Hey, I understand everything you’re doing [with fighting Apple about their racism], and I don’t want this to be the thing that gets you fired,” and said to delete it, which I did. And yes, I fully recognize my fault here. I didn’t think it through, and was glad the person who caught it was someone I trusted. Yet, somehow the event got reported to HR. Turned out, I shouldn’t have trusted him and told him what it was for, because he told HR.

I lied to HR about the intent of the video, and because the person I trusted told them the truth, they caught me in it. Bummed, I texted this person after I finished the call with HR, and said how surprised I am it got reported. “I have no idea who could’ve been around to report that,” I shared. “I’m also bummed that they’re using the exact words I shared with you against me.”

He reported that text as well, which is one of the reasons I got fired, because of the “no retaliation” policy during HR investigations.

So, I have been backstabbed by someone I trusted, who said he didn’t want me to get fired, and now I have been terminated.

I’m not sure what’s next for me, but I know I’m not going to stop fighting. I created this GoFundMe with the goal of providing 1 month’s salary while I figure out those next steps.
