Amy’s Cancer Journey
Donation protected
As of April 2nd, Amy underwent her 15th chemotherapy infusion, marking the third infusion in Part B. One more infusion is scheduled for April 23rd. An MRI and Petscan on May 2nd will assess the progress of the chemo, with surgery scheduled for May 21st. Recent consultations have brought encouraging news, with Dr. Wooldridge noting phenomenal progress through the chemotherapy. Lymph nodes are nearing normal, and skin lesions have significantly healed. However, the final assessment on the mass will await the May 2nd imaging. Given the rare nature of Inflammatory Breast Cancer, Amy will undergo a radical mastectomy in late May, followed by a period of recovery and subsequent radiation and immunotherapy treatments. Reconstructive surgery is anticipated in early 2025.
During this challenging time, we kindly ask that you prayerfully consider donating to support Jimmy and Amy. They will need to take a significant amount of time away from work for surgery, recovery, radiation, etc. Your contributions will help alleviate financial stress, allowing them to focus solely on Amy's healing journey. Thank you for your generosity and continued prayers.

Hello! We're Shelby Massey, Joy Stone, and Hallie Horn, daughters of Jimmy and Amy Storrie. Recently, our mom, Amy, was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma - triple negative, a more aggressive form of breast cancer. As Amy faces a challenging journey, we've started this GoFundMe not only for treatment expenses but also to assist with their daily costs. Amy, a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, and Jimmy, who runs the non-profit counseling ministry Life Recovered, will need to scale back due to Amy's treatment. Despite the hurdles, we trust in God and appreciate the support from our family and friends. Amy plans to maintain a normal schedule as much as possible during this journey. Your incredible support means the world to us, and we're grateful for the love we've received.
For more details about our mom's cancer diagnosis and treatment, please read below:
Amy's cancer is invasive ductal carcinoma - triple negative, a more aggressive type. It's not hormone-induced, making hormone-based treatments ineffective. Multiple masses and affected lymph nodes indicate Stage 2, possibly 3 if the skin is involved.
The treatment plan involves 24 weeks of chemotherapy and immunotherapy with five different medications, followed by surgery, likely a mastectomy due to the aggressive tumor. If a genetic marker is present, a double mastectomy may be necessary. Subsequently, 27 more weeks of immunotherapy and possibly radiation are anticipated.
Once again, thank you for your continued love and support! We feel truly blessed to have such a caring community.
