Keep this Hero Alive

Hi, this is Kristi Birchett. Wilnot Francois is the man in the yellow shirt standing to my left in the cover photo. He lives in Pignon Haiti. He lost his parents and other members of his family in the earthquake in 2010. His loss sent him into a very difficult place emotionally, and he made a lot of self destructive choices. His life was going in a very bad direction until a pastor came to his rescue and helped him change his life. Since that time, Wilnot has served the poor people in Pignon with all his heart and energy. When the pastor died, many poor people were left depending on Wilnot for support. He dedicates his entire life to meeting the needs of those who are unable to provide for themselves.

Mike and I met Wilnot in Haiti in 2021. For over two years, Wilnot and I have partnered together under the organization UpLifting Humans to help the widows and children of Pignon Haiti. We regularly help the widows to buy some oil, rice, spaghetti and other simple ingredients so they will have some food to eat. We have helped to build houses and latrines for very poor families who have nothing. We have helped children to attend school and have provided backpacks to hundreds of children. Wilnot is the one who makes all of this possible. He identifies the needs and oversees all building and distributing. Without Wilnot, we would have no way to get help to these very desperate and vulnerable widows and children.

Wilnot is dangerously sick right now and has been diagnosed with some serious illnesses. He is in need of doctor's care and life saving medicine, which is not easy to get and very expensive in Haiti. As he suffers with constant pain, his focus is still on the widows and trying to find a way to make sure they have something to eat. They come to his house daily in need of food. The widows need him. The children need him. And our organization, UpLifting Humans, needs him. Without him, we will not have a way to continue the work we are doing in Haiti. Please consider donating to Wilnot's medical funds so we can keep him alive and help him to heal. He is a huge force for good, and a light in a very dark place.

Thank you and God bless you.
