Hazel grace

Hi! My name is Hazel Grace, I was born 6 weeks early and spent 2 months in the nicu on oxygen while learning how to eat. I was diagnosed with cancer and had to have an omphalocele surgery due to a condition named Beckwith-Wiedemann. So far, I have had a liver transplant at just 1 year old plus 3 other major surgeries. I have also spent multiple months in Nationwide’s hospital in Columbus. On April 23rd 2024, I was taken to Akron Children’s for 3 large masses and transported via helicopter to Nationwide due to pressure behind my eyes caused by the masses. As of April 27th, 2024 I have been diagnosed with a severe form of cancer called Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma. The treatment for this is extensive and includes pet scans, bone marrow biopsies, spinal taps, and 3 week cycles of chemo. My survival rate is low but my spirit is high. On august 28th I was diagnosed with another form of cancer on top of the one I already have called  neuroblastoma .
