John Cookson's Funeral Fund
Donation protected
This fund is in memory of John Cookson, an exceptional young man who touched many lives and impressed everyone he met. Money raised will go toward funeral costs and any leftover money will be used to start a scholarship fund in his honor.
John was adored by his family, friends, classmates, co-workers and nearly everyone he met. He possessed great confidence, humor and intelligence that permeated into everyone he encountered. We have been blessed by his time with us.
He attended Lamar High School in Arlington, Texas, where he was a member of the varsity tennis team and symphony orchestra. John also worked as a parking attendant for the Texas Rangers and he donated time to causes such the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and Alzheimer's Association.
Words cannot describe the pain of losing a family member too soon. John passed away from a tragic kayak accident and he is survived by his parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins. He was an only child and now has left a big space in the hearts of those that loved him.
Any donation is greatly appreciated.
We miss you John. You will always be in our hearts and minds.
