Homer Kicks Leukemia's Ass

I moved to the Okanagan 8 years ago from Saskatchewan and the Alexis family has been my "family away from family".  Homer and Denise both have a way of making you feel at home and welcoming you with open, loving arms. I met Denise five years ago when I first brought Lucas to the daycare and Jackson 2 years later, and she has always been loving, understanding, supportive, a should to cry on, an ear to listen.. like a sister who 'tells you like it is.'  I met Homer soon after and you can't help but love him: his gentle smile, big hugs and warm heart!  Over the last 6 months or so, I sat on the school advisory committee with him... and saw him juggle: raising a family, a full time job at the mill, running a farm, cattle and horse, building their home, running and winning a seat on band council, sitting on committees... all the while- fighting cancer. You never would have known- because he always had a smile on his face.
Their children Ashley, Cole, Jordyn, Shade, Jakpob, Robyn and Bailey; grandchildren Daxton and Isabelle are their pride and joy... and family always comes first!
After not feeling well for 3 weeks, Denise took Homer to emergency and he was diagnosed with leukemia and rushed to Vancouver General Hospital for treatment. It has been a shocking and devastating week for family and friends who love them dearly.
Unfortunately, the cost of accomodation close to VGH where Homer will need to get treatment in downtown Vancouver is astronomical- around $4000/month and that is why I am asking for your help...
Please help me raise the funds so Homer and Denise can focus on fighting cancer... rather than worrying about money or where they will stay.  Help me show them the love and support they have given to others through donations and encouragement.
